TAM SAFARIS
TERMS & CONDITIONS
- A Deposit of 50% of the Full Daily Rate
is required to confirm the Safari Reservation.
- The Balance of the Daily Rate is payable
one month prior to arriving at the hunting
area.
- Trophy Fees are payable on completion
of the Safari.
- A Refund of the Deposit, less costs incurred,
will only be considered if the client cancels
90 days before the agreed starting date
and an alternative party can be booked
for the safari.
- Safari Charges become effective on the
first day of the contracted period and
end on the termination date agreed upon.
- No Refunds for late arrivals or early
departures.
- Payment is to be made either by Cash,
Traveler’s Cheques or Bank Guaranteed
Cheques.
- Credit Card Payments accepted, with 4%
surcharge.
- Wounded and/or Lost animals must be paid
for in full.
- A License, covering all game, must be
purchased. Currently $50. We
undertake to purchase this on your behalf.
- Tam Safaris reserves the right to alter
the conditions, tariff and terms without
prior notice.
DAILY RATE INCLUDES
- Services of experienced Professional
Hunters.
- Services of experienced Trackers, Skinners
and Camp Staff.
- Full Accommodation, Meals and Daily Laundry.
- Preservation of Trophies in the field.
- Alcoholic Beverages – wine and
malt
DAILY RATE DOES NOT INCLUDE
- Transportation by road, to and from Port
Elizabeth, where clients will be collected.
Currently $550.00.
- Accommodation and travel charges before
and after the contracted safari.
- Travel expenses between initial and subsequent
hunting areas.
- Air Charters between hunting areas where
required.
- The hire of rifles and ammunition. Currently
$50.00 per rifle per day.
- Specialty food items.
- Transportation of Trophies to Taxidermists
or Exporter. Currently $100.00.
- Export Trophy, Dipping, Packing and Freighting.
- Taxidermy.
- Exportation of Trophies.
- V.A.T. at 14 %, as per Government Regulations
Non Trophy Items e.g. Daily Rate.
- Gratuities.
Although the Professional
Hunters and Staff of Tam Safaris are highly
skilled and experienced, especially in
the field of hunting dangerous game, sport
hunting is a hazardous activity. Tam
Safaris does not accept any responsibility
in the event of an accident and/or personal
injury; nor does it accept responsibility
for the loss of any personal property.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Recommendations for Safaris:
- Complete all Import Permit information
required for Customs.
- Arrange for Hunter’s Support assistance
to ensure speedy clearance of weapons.
- Use Bikini or other easily removable
lens covers to protect your scope lenses
from dust.]
- Use a tough gun case.
- Good quality, reasonably lightweight
binoculars. Back-up pair if possible.
- Lens Cleaner, Outers Oil Wipes for Rifles.
- 3 Changes of comfortable, durable Hunting
Clothing (Daily Laundry Service).
- 3 Sets Underwear.
- 2 Sets Long Woolen Underwear.
- 3 Pairs Woolen or Cotton Socks.
- 1 Warm, windproof Jacket.
- 1 Lightweight Jacket.
- 1 Down-filled Vest.
- 1 Woolen Sweater.
- 1 Lightweight Raincoat or Poncho.
- 1 Pair Lightweight, well broken-in
and comfortable Hunting boots, with rubber
soles.
- 1 Pair Tennis/Hiking Shoes.
- 1 Pair Comfortable Shoes for evenings.
- 1 Pair Warm Gloves.
- 1 Felt Hat or Hunting Cap.
- Swimming Costume (During our Summer).
- 1 Pair Sunglasses (Never forget an extra
pair of prescription glasses!)
- Personal Medication.
- Anti-Insect Lotion.
- Good quality Sun block creams.
- Toiletries (In sufficient quantity for
the duration of the Safari)
- Camera. Plus plenty of film.
- Sufficient spare batteries. For
Cameras and Shavers.
- Electrical Adapter converter from U.S.
110v to South African 220v.
FIREARMS AND AMMUNITION
Two
Rifles and one Shotgun are allowed by law
into the country. Therefore, the suggested
calibres from .375 and larger for big game.
One shotgun of any gauge.
It must be borne in mind that only 100 rounds
per firearm may be brought into the country.
For the smaller calibres, only soft-nose
ammunition. For the larger calibres
half the amount in softs and the other half
in solids.
NOTE:
Camouflage clothing is permitted in South
Africa.
Satellite phones will work in South Africa.
